Walt’s #1 badge was long believed to be lost; however, Disney archivist Ed Ovalle never lost sight of this precious piece of Disneyland history. While Ed’s primary research focus is Walt Disney, one afternoon he decided to look through Roy O. Disney’s files. In the very back of a box, he noticed a crumpled paper bag that was displacing the folders. He shook it and it sounded like metal. Inside, along with some Donald Duck pins, was Walt’s badge. His brother had saved it among his personal items; it was neither lost nor forgotten ❤️ (TY, Ed!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻)
